Mission Library is celebrating sixty years of service to Santa Clara but the story of the land it sits on is part of the history of Mission Santa Clara. The story of the neighborhood it serves reflects the early days of the town of Santa Clara. Lorie Garcia, Santa Clara City Historian, will discuss the history of the land and the neighborhood that surrounds Mission Library. Mary Hanel, retired local history librarian will talk about the history of the Mission Library.
